Darmstadtium Connectivity Featured in Award Case Study
This latest best practice case study features the 2019 INCON Digital Infrastructure Award winners: Darmstadtium, Germany. Darmstadtium is forging a trail as a pioneer in event connectivity. The venue invests constantly in features such as the virtualization of servers and in the design of the network structure. The latest redesign has been managed in cooperation with Cisco Systems with the aim of developing a more reactive and agile network. Personalised ICT support is another distinguishing factor of this ambitious venue. With connection speeds of 20GB/sec and over 100 WLAN access points delegates have seamless and simultaneous internet connections during events.
Lars Wöhler, Managing Director of Darmstadtium was overwhelmed. “After receiving the first INCON Digital Infrastructure award in 2014, we are more than happy to receive this prestigious award for the second time. We are trying hard to stay at the edge of ICT technology to offer best possible services to our clients present and meet their future needs. I am very proud that our efforts in this worldwide competition were recognized by the judging panel. INCON is doing a great job by pushing this important topic within the industry world wide.”
The case study features some of Darmstadtium’s best-in-class client events such as the Drupal Europe Convention, which showcases how customers leverage the ICT infrastructure and how outstanding customer satisfaction can be achieved. Another unique feature is Darmstadtium’s capability to provide mobile network connection for major outdoor city festivals like Heinerfest and Schloßgrabenfest. Darmstadtium’s position in the heart of the city means that they can support and enable best connectivity for all festival visitors.
