ORTRA celebrates their success with the ILANIT/FISEB 2023 conference
What a ride it’s been! The ILANIT/ FISEB 2023 celebration of science was held in Eilat, Israel, from February 20th- 23rd, 2023, with great success!
It’s incredible to see over 3,200 researchers, graduate students, postdocs, biologists, and doctors from around Israel and the world come together to share their knowledge and latest discoveries.
The 2023 meeting was held over four hotels and accommodated 3200 pax in more than 15 hotels. The conference was loaded with a full program consisting of over 1,700 abstracts accepted for oral, flash talk, and e-poster presentations, 132 scientific sessions led by 279 chairs and 969 speakers from various life science disciplines, as well as 15 parallel sessions, flash talks, consultation meetings, soft skills sessions, student-organized sessions, the general program, and a comprehensive exhibition.
With generous help from Yad Hanadiv and the Israel Science Foundation, we invited 65 Israeli late-stage postdocs from the U.S. and Europe to present their work and enjoy getting acquainted with Israeli Faculty members and Deans. We also had 807 posters presented, including 14 posters by high school students from the ALPHA program. Lastly, a special editors' session led by four editors of influential multidisciplinary scientific journals was dedicated to discussing the future of scientific publications.
We were so happy to see many young scientists present their research for the first time ever; our spectacular speakers, fantastic entertainment, and morning race made ILANIT/FISEB 2023 the best one yet.
